Meditation & Self-Transformation: A Course for Under 35’s

Take the time out to practice meditation and yoga, whilst deepening your understanding of Buddhism during E-Vam Institute’s evening and a day intensive of Meditation and Self Transformation.
Open to newcomers and those who have an ongoing interest in Buddhism, E-Vam is offering the opportunity to participate online, from the comfort of your own home. Connecting with others is a wonderful way to enrich and support your practice and understanding.
Led by the friendly staff of E-Vam Institute, long term practitioners and students of great master Traleg Rinpoche:
The course includes:
- Tranquillity (mindfulness) meditation
- Tibetan yoga and pranayama
- Audio recording of Buddhist philosophy exploring profound instructions of “Transforming the mind” by the great Buddhist Master Traleg Kyabgon Rinpoche
- Explanation and guided practice on the Meditation on the 4 Immeasurable practices of equanimity, love, compassion and joy
- Opportunity to ask questions and chat

Exploring the fundamental concepts of the Buddhist approach to spiritual practice.
Talk 1 explores
- How the Buddhist approach includes a willingness to work with conflicting emotions or undesirable negative aspects of ourselves.
- The importance of bodily awareness and reinstating or rehabilitating the body as part of our spiritual practice; that it is not all about the mind.
- The importance of paying attention to our thoughts so that we can become more aware of how we construct the world that we live in.
Talk 2 explores
- How Buddhism is a non-dualistic approach and seeks to overcome dualities via an integrated approach.
- How to approach emotions. We can learn to be more skilful in our emotional expression through paying attention.
- An explanation of the benefits of employing the “5 powers” of:

- Conviction and friendliness
- Vigour (enthusiasm)
- Mindfulness
- Concentration (non-distraction)
- Insight (Wisdom)
- A Philosophical understanding of the Buddhist notion of non-duality in relation to form and formlessness, conditioned and unconditioned: the Prajnaparamita.
