Teachings on the Nine Yanas of Tibetan Buddhism
Tulku Pema Rigtsal Rinpoche will teach on the nine yanas (vehicles) as presented in the Nyingma tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. The Nine Yanas (or Vehicles) is the full system of practice that brings together all the approaches of the Buddha’s teaching into a single comprehensive path. Introducing all the stages and understandings of the nine yanas, from the Shravakayana of the Sutras, the Bodhisattvayana, to the Outer-Tantras and finally the yana of Atiyoga (Dzogchen), Rinpoche will lay out the differences and similarities in views of these nine successive vehicles. This event will be an excellent introduction for anyone hoping to glimpse the entire Buddhist path to liberation, or an enriching aid to those already traversing the stages of the path of renunciation, purification, transformation and liberation.

About Tulku Pema Rigtsal Rinpoche
H.E Tulku Pema Rigtsal Rinpoche, is a senior throne holder of the Dudjom Tersar tradition and son
of the 2nd Degyal Rinpoche. Pema Rigtsal Rinpoche holds the monastery seat of the isolated Namkha Khyung Dzong in Humla near Mt Kailash, a direct lineage that descends from the Treasure Revealer Dudjom Lingpa.

Renowned for his erudite approach to studying and teaching the Dharma, Rinpoche sets a perfect example of life focused on strict retreat. Rinpoche cares for over 300 monks, 200 nuns and more than 800 mantra practitioners across the Himalayas, many having completed the traditional 3 year, 3 month retreat.

As a disciple of Khenpo Dazer, H.H the 4th Dodrupchen Rinpoche, Yangtang Rinpoche, H.H Dudjom Rinpoche and his son Thinley Norbu Rinpoche, Tulku Pema Rigtsal is a treasury of the Dzogchen teachings for our time.
