What is Dharma Art?

About the Workshop

In this one-day workshop, we will explore the basic principles of “Dharma Art” and then see how they might manifest — by going outside and opening to the natural environment, gathering materials there, and bringing them back inside to arrange. This might take the form of ikebana, object arrangement, or…?

No art background is required to participate. Just an open mind and heart!

The Teacher

Hazel Bercholz was a student of Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche. At his inspiration, she studied Ikebana and other forms of Dharma Art. She was co-director of Shambhhala Training in Halifax, N.S. for 5 years and has taught extensively over the years. She retired from Shambhala Publications in 2019, where she had been a book designer and art director.
