Having the right vision is an important part of making our lives more significant… – Traleg Kyabgon Rinpoche IX

Since the time of the Buddha, there has been a strong tradition among Buddhists of periods of retreat for practice, study and reflection. Retreat is valued as a time to step away from our daily life of distractions and obstacles, to be in a supportive and focused environment for an extended period of time.  Upholding the retreat format as provided by Traleg Kyabgon Rinpoche IX, the Annual Easter Retreat includes structured time for Green Tara and Chenrezig pujas, meditation, recorded teachings by Traleg Rinpoche (read on for details) and yoga.

Whether new to Buddhism or an experienced practitioner, the retreat environment is an essential support on the Path.

The 2022 Easter Retreat will be a hybrid event which means you can attend the retreat either in-person at Maitripa Centre or online.

In-person at Maitripa Centre – Waiting List Please note places for the Easter Retreat at Maitripa Centre are now full. If you would like to attend, please email us at and we will add your name to a waiting list.

Living a Fulfilling Life by Traleg Kyabgon Rinpoche IX

The daily teachings on Living A Fulfilling Life are approached by Rinpoche from three aspects: in relation to oneself, in relation to the world and other people, and in relation to ultimate reality.  These teachings inspire us to adopt what Rinpoche calls a “big vision” for our lives and our own potential. When we go beyond the confines of egoistic preoccupations and concerns, we can in fact begin to meaningfully integrate our spiritual and worldly goals.
