Tibetan Yoga and Pranayama course with Traleg Khandro

October 1, 2022 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

The Buddhist approach to health addresses all aspects of body and mind
Traleg Kyabgon Rinpoche IX, Integral Buddhism

In this one-day course Traleg Khandro (Felicity) returns to E-Vam institute to provide instruction on Tibetan Yoga and gentle Pranayama. Tibetan Yoga is helpful for balancing, energizing, and refreshing our body-mind complex. By encouraging a sense of well-being, it can help focus and stabilise the mind for meditation, which is its primary focus.

While some of the movements may be a little challenging, the exercises are not too strenuous, and most are performed sitting down. The sessions will include some meditation. The course is suitable for both beginners and the more experienced.

What you need:

  • Please wear loose or stretchy clothing;
  • A zafu and zabuton meditation cushion set, or folded blanket and meditation cushion so you are not sitting on too hard a surface. Sitting on a chair is also fine.
  • Yoga mat and soft belt if possible, but not essential

About the Practice: Traleg Khandro will be teaching the sequence LuJong Chu Sum Ni: ‘The 13 Physical Trainings’. This is a Nyingma Sequence introduced by Lama Pema Dorje
Rinpoche called Chime Palter – literally translates as ‘Exercises to lengthen Life’.

Traleg Khandro received this practice from the great Master Lama Pema Dorje Rinpoche (1942-2018), whose ancestors can be traced back to Milarepa’s paternal line. Lama Pema Dorje Rinpoche held the Longchen Nyingtik and Dudjom Lingpa treasure teachings. For more information on Lama Pema Dorje Rinpoche Click here
