It was a lovely evening to celebrate Losar, the Tibetan New Year of the Iron Rat, at E-Vam Institute on the 22nd of February 2020. We began the evening with approximately 35 people performing the Chenrezig Puja. The meditation hall had a powerful atmosphere of positivity while we chanted together. Lovely people who I had not seen at the center before also joined the meditation and prayers.
After the ritual practice, we celebrated Losar with refreshments and music. People were chatting about all manner topics such as, Traleg Kyabgon Rinpoche’s new books, Dharma, music, art, coffee, and wine. It was wonderful to see some new faces celebrating the New Year.
The evening had a very relaxed, vibrant, and positive environment. I personally enjoyed chatting and having meaningful conversations about the arts. It was a beautiful evening to spend together with loved ones and new friends at the center of Traleg Kyabgon Rinpoche.
